Under the supervision of a Team Lead, the Data Entry Specialist will enter orders, referrals and provider generated documentation into a web based system according to procedure.

Additional pay available for working weekends, evenings and holidays.  Hours of operation are Monday to Friday 7am to 9pm; weekends and holidays from 9am to 6pm.  Full-time positions available.  

Responsibilities

Accurately input/transcribe the information found in print, PDF, email, websites and digital documents into web based database systems.
Enter data in web based database systems according to procedure.
Lookup information in various web based systems
Review and file faxes and scanned documents.
Prepare mailings.
Generate and distribute reports.
Follow-up with providers on missing or incomplete documentation.
Meet daily production requirement.
Perform other relevant duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.

Required Skills and Experience

General Requirements
Minimally a High school diploma or equivalent.  
Computer proficiency required: typing speed > 40 words per minute, quick and proficient with e-mail and Internet.
Excellent listening, reading comprehension, and professional communication skills are required.

Skills
Maintain a pleasant and professional manner at all times. Excellent interpersonal skills to work in partnership with others.

PHYSICAL
Sedentary position. Must be able to sit for up to four hours continuously, typing, listening. May work occasional non-standard hours.  Able to bend and sit for long periods of times.  May work occasional "off" hours outside typical business hours (8:30 am – 5:00pm). Must be able to visually read handwritten materials without adaptive equipment
